About Us
SCV Chinese School
was established on Sept. 27, 2009. We started with about 20
students and a five members staff at a rented tutoring place.
The majority of students were from Chinese families.
Our programs were well received by the SCV community and news soon
spread about this unique school. A few weeks later, some 40
kids were enrolled. By Spring 2010, Chinese school passed the
150-student mark. Most students no longer have a Chinese
family connection. Our school moved to its current
location at the Albert Einstein Academy High School in Spring
2011.
A year later, the SCV Chinese School counts about 200 students as
we have expanded programs and formed partnerships with two local
charter schools. Our staff has also grow to a team of highly
educated teachers, back-up teachers and administrators.
Our greatest asset is our highly qualified bilingual staff members. With their endless efforts, dedication and professionalism, in 2013, SCV Chinese was approved by IRS as a 501(c) Exempt nonprofit organization, granted a Six Year Full Accreditation by WASC the longest possible, and approved to offer High School Credit Classes by the William Hart High School District.
Today, more than one thousand
students study Chinese in numerous Public, Charter
and Private schools throughout the Santa Clarita Valley all because
of the SCV Chinese School. We set out to build a first class
program to empower all SCV students to become future global
leaders. We collaborated with districts, schools and the nonprofit
community, opened enrichment programs before, after school and on
weekend at numerous sites, and established Hart District approved
high school credit courses which have also been approved for UC A-G
listing meeting college admission requirements.
