If you speak fluent Chinese (Mandarin and Pinyin) and conversational English, have a BA / equivalent or higher degree , and enjoy teaching school-age children, this could be for you.  2-24 hours per week during, before / after school or weekends.  Reliable and dedicated persons are welcome - interviewing now.

张宏 Sarah Zhang Galemmo, Teacher

Mrs. Sarah Galemmo graduated from FuZhou University in China, and she received a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Mrs. Galemmo taught in college for nine years in China. Currently she teaches intermediate one class in Chinese School, and Chinese level II for grades 7 through 10 at the SCVi Charter School.

 

Mrs. Galemmo came to United States in 1995, and two years later she got married, and now she lives in Stevenson Ranch with her husband and two beautiful children: daughter Amanda at age 13 and son Nicholas at age 10. Mrs. Galemmo loves children, and she is passionate about teaching, and she enjoys teaching the kids in SCV Chinese school.

 

黄宜君 Nina Noble, Teacher

宜君畢業於台灣中國文化大學音樂系。並在台北的初中任教三年。之後在加州CSUDH取得教育碩士學位,曾擔任Newhall School District 之代課老師多年。目前教授本校的SCVi CharterSchool中文課。

 

Nina received her bachelor's degree in Western Music from Chinese Culture University in Taiwan. Then she taught general music in a Taipei junior high for three years. She later received her master degree in Education from CSUDH (Cal State Uni. Dominguez Hills). She worked as a substitute teacher in Newhall School District and a private tutor before teaching our Mandarin program at SCVi charter school.
